At our Urban Phi Beauty Clinic Horsham we offer three styles of brows: Microblading, Ombre Brows, and Combo Brows (Microblading with Shading). It’s critical to understand the differences between each style, prior to coming in for your service in our Horsham clinic, as not all styles are suitable for everyone. We at Urban Phi Beauty Horsham will only perform services on clients that are best suited for them, to protect your investment, maintain our integrity as artists, and provide you with the best possible result. The differences between each service are explained below. Also please take note that all methods of permanent makeup for the brows require 2 session to complete: an initial session, and a 6-week touch-up that we’ll book when you come in for your first visit. In some cases (such as corrections of previous work), more than two sessions may be required. Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
What is Microblading?
Microblading in our Horsham clinic is a form of semi-permanent makeup originating in Japan, also referred to as eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering, or soft tap. Natural-looking hair strokes are created on the skin to imitate the look of real, fluffy brows. Microblading alone will not replicate the look of brow makeup, as you will see skin between each hair stroke. Microblading is not for oily, combo (oily on forehead), creased (on forehead), or sensitive skin. Microblading is also best suited for clients with evenly-distributed brow hair. If your brow hair is not evenly distributed across your desired brow shape, please see our other two methods of semi-permanent makeup. Microblading will need maintenance every 1-2 years. Topical numbing gel is used throughout the service for your comfort.
What are Phi Sombre powder brows?
We also love to offer Phi Sombre Brows at our Horsham Clinic, as opposed to microblading, do not feature hair strokes. Instead, a soft background color is added to the brow that heals looking just like your favorite brow makeup. Phi Sombre brows softly fade at the heads to avoid looking too harsh; they will never be squared off in the front. This method requires maintenance every 2-3 years. It is a better alternative to microblading for clients with creased, sensitive, and/or oily skin. It also works well covering up undesirable microblading in some cases. Can I combine PhiBrows microblading and PhiSombre brows?
Yes, at Urban Phi Beauty clinic Horsham you can! This is the best option for those with minimal/no brow hairs that want a shaded look with fuffy "hairs,” Combo brows can be done to look either more natural, or more made-up depending on your preferences; just let us know what you’re looking for! As microblading is involved in this method, this is not ideal for oily, creased, or sensitive clients. This method will require maintenance every 2-3 years.
